warm chocolate pots

I found this recipe on Iron Chef Shellie’s website. Super easy and SUPER delicious to whip up. It has the texture of a souffle, maybe a little bit thicker and cakey since this recipe uses flour.

I overcooked mine a little bit because I didn’t want it to be runny. Mine was just set on the edges and gooey in the middle unlike the ones shown on Iron Chef Shellie’s website. Hers was runny. No matter what you do with this recipe it’ll still turn out to be major chocolate goodness.

Warm Chocolate Pots
from Delicious magazine

Ingredients:
200g good quality dark chocolate
100g unsalted butter, chopped
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 tablespoons plain flour, sifted
cream or ice cream, to serve

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grease four 150mL ramekins. Place the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water until melted. Stir to just combine, then cool slightly.

Place the eggs, sugar and flour in a bowl and whisk until just combined. Gradually whisk in the chocolate mixture, then pour the batter into the ramekins and place on a baking tray.

Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the edges are set but the centre is soft. Serve hot with cream or ice-cream
